Patrick ChungCEO Zeerow (a GCU company)
A native of Silicon Valley, Patrick started his career as a corporate attorney in 1997 at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, a law firm specializing in representing high tech companies. At WSGR, Patrick counseled companies (including many start-ups) regarding general corporate matters, strategic planning, financings, M&A, intellectual property and licensing matters. Between two stints at WSGR (1997-2000 and 2005-2008), Patrick worked in Seoul, Korea at Kim & Chang, where he advised Fortune 500 companies doing business in Korea, including joint ventures and M&A. Prior to Kim & Chang, Patrick was Director of Business Development at Dialpad Communications (acquired by Yahoo), where he negotiated and closed both of Dialpad’s Series A and Series B Preferred Stock financings, which raised $66 million. While at Dialpad, he was responsible for technology licensing and distribution of Dialpad’s products with telecommunications companies, PC OEMs and websites.
Patrick is currently the Managing Director of SK telecom ventures, the venture arm of Korea’s leading mobile carrier, which also owns Cyworld (Korea’s largest social network). He is responsible for all aspects of the fund, including deal sourcing, portfolio company management, and limited partner management. Patrick holds a Juris Doctor degree from New York University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley. Patrick is based in Silicon Valley.
