Elliot Han is currently an Executive Director in the Investment Banking division of Goldman Sachs International in London. He focus on public securities offerings across a variety of industries. Prior to Goldman, he was a Vice President in the UK Investment Banking team at Credit Suisse in London focusing on public securities offerings and mergers & acquisitions transactions. He has also spent time as a corporate lawyer at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer based in London and New York. His practice focused on international mergers & acquisitions, capital markets and corporate advisory work for listed and unlisted companies. Prior to Freshfields, Elliot began his investment-banking career with Credit Suisse First Boston in New York and London, where he focused on healthcare mergers & acquisitions, equity and debt transactions. He also served as a White House Intern during President Bill Clinton’s administration focusing on healthcare policy.
Elliot graduated from Columbia University with a BA, double majoring in Classics(Latin & Ancient Greek) and Biology. He graduated from Oxford University with a Masters degree in Classics. He received his law degree and MA from Cambridge University, where he was a Cambridge Overseas Trust Scholar. He is also a Fellow of the Cambridge University Overseas Trust.
Elliot was born and raised in New York City. He has an active interest in long-distance running having been a Varsity member of the cross-country and track teams at Columbia, Oxford and Cambridge. Subsequently he became a semi-professional runner under sponsorship before pursuing his banking and legal careers. In his spare time he enjoys cheeseburgers (too much) which ensures that, despite his competitive running career finishing, he still gets out to run.
