Dinah L. Choi is an attorney with Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart, PC, in the District of Columbia. Dinah counsels and represents management in connection with workplace safety issues. Specifically, she focuses her practice on governmental investigations, inspections, and related litigation, particularly with respect to mine safety and occupational safety and health. Dinah is a graduate of the University of California, San Diego, and earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Washington School of Law. While in law school, she served as President of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association and Vice President of the Moot Court Honor Board. She was also awarded the Asian Bar Association of Washington Scholarship for her service and contributions to the Asian Pacific American community. Dinah is a recognized community leader with a record of public service. Prior to law school, Dinah worked as a community organizer in Los Angeles where she directed APIA Vote!, a nonpartisan voter empowerment and education project. Dinah followed that experience by working in community relations and developing public education campaigns targeting minority communities throughout California. Dinah continues her public service as a volunteer attorney for the Legal Aid Society of the District of Columbia, 2009-2010 Leadership Academy Fellow with the Maryland State Bar Association, and former board member of the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of the District of Columbia.
