Sandor Hau is a Managing Director and Head of the High Yield Distressed Group at Nomura Securities. Previously, Sandor was a Managing Director at Goldman, Sachs & Co. where he worked for 12+ years in a variety of roles in investment banking, fixed income and equities. Most recently, he was the portfolio manager and head of the capital structure arbitrage group within Goldman Sachs Principal Strategies (GSPS). Prior to that, he managed the principal finance business for GSPS in the United States. Earlier in his career, Sandor worked in the Asian Special Situations Group in Hong Kong and the Bank Loan Group and Leveraged Finance Group in New York. In addition, Sandor was a co-founder of an internet marketing services company based in Silicon Valley. Sandor serves on the boards of the Korean American Family Service Center and the Mirae Foundation. He is also a term member on the Council on Foreign Relations, a NetKal fellow and an active alumni mentor for Sponsors for Educational Opportunity. Sandor earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He was also a Rotary Scholar at Yonsei University in Korea.
