Yonah HongCommunity Affairs Specialist Community Redevelopment Agency of California
Yonah Hong is a Community Outreach Organizer for the Los Angeles Unified School District – New Facilities Division, working with 11.2 billion dollars for new school construction projects. She works as a liaison between the school district and the community in building new schools that are much needed in the city. Additionally, she volunteers and works with the Korean American Foundation of Southern California as a Board Member, promoting and educating Korean American Heritage and Culture and actively supports the Lighthouse Foundation, a Christian organization, with whom she most recently visited North Korea on a humanitarian aid mission.
Yonah was born in Korea but raised in Indianapolis, Indiana and graduated from Purdue University with a Major in Environmental Health and a minor in Psychology.
