Yeunkeum ChangProfessor Sookmyung Women’s UniversityLibrary and Information Science
Dr. Yunkeum Chang is a professor of Library and Information Science at Sookmyung Women’s University in Seoul, Korea. Since joining in 2004 as an assistant professor, she has served at the university as the Director of the Institute of Leadership and General Education (2014-2016), the Director of the Asia Pacific Women’s Information Network Center (2012-2014), the Director of the Sookmyung Global Leadership Institute (2008-2010), the Dean of the School of General Leadership Education (2014-2016, 2008-2010), the Director of Research and Planning of the Sookmyung Global Leadership Institute (2007-2008), and the Department Chair of the Library and Information Science (2006, 2014).
She presently serves on the advisory committees of the National Assembly Library of Korea and the National Library of Korea, Namsan Public Library, as well as the Korean National Commission for UNESCO. She also serves as the Vice President of the Korean Biblia Soeiety and as a Board Member of the Journals for the Korean Society for Library and Information Science and the Korea Society of Information Management. Previously, she served as a Co-Chair of Youth Subcommittee of the 66th UN DPI/NGO Conference (Theme: Education for Global Citizenship) which was held on 30 May~ 01 June, 2016 in Gyeongju, Korea.
She holds her Ph.D. in Library Management from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, MLIS from Indiana University-Bloomington, and a B.A. in Library and Information Science from Sookmyung Women’s University.
