Joe Ahn began his career sixteen years ago lobbying for a non-profit higher education association in California. Joe currently advises corporate management on state legislative, regulatory and political matters for the Northrop Grumman Corporation, a global defense company headquartered in Los Angeles, California with over 125,000 employees worldwide. Previously, Joe served as an appointee of Governor Gray Davis as the deputy director of the Technology, Trade and Commerce Agency where he managed economic development programs for the largest trade zone in California.His other service to the State includes serving as a legislative aide to the Vice-Chair of California Assembly Ways and Means Committee, and as senior deputy to the Chair of California State Board of Equalization. In between his service to the State, Joe was the chief deputy to Los Angeles School Board Member George Kiriyama, and the community relations liaison for Los Angeles County District Attorney Gil Garcetti. Joe was elected the first Asian-American and second minority student body president while earning his undergraduate degrees at California State University, Fullerton. He also completed the mediation program at Pepperdine University Law School. Joe currently resides in Pasadena, California with his wife Adeline Yoong.
