On Wednesday, December 11th, the Korean Consulate General in Los Angeles and USC NetKAL co-hosted a forum entitled “Leading Changes through Entertainment, Media and Technology in Unknown Digital Future”. The event took place at the Intercontinental Hotel in Century City.
Featuring renowned experts in conversation with Korean-American leaders, the dinner and forum served as an excellent opportunity for networking and learning among key influencers from the entertainment, media and technology fields. Bernard Moon (left), Co-founder and General Partner of SparkLabs Global Ventures and NetKAL III Fellow moderated the dialogue. Ted Kim, President and CEO of Mnet America and John Suh (right), CEO of LegalZoom and NetKAL III Fellow and Advisory Board Member shared insightful analysis of different development paths used by a wide array of IT startups. They exchanged views on how individuals might best navigate and harness the power of technologies as well as create beneficial impact in society. During the Q&A portion of the forum, the panelists along with the audience drew a fascinating picture of a rapidly changing future shaped by new communication channels which will evolutionarily affect us not only as individuals, but our communities. The event once again demonstrated NetKAL ‘s effectiveness in staging collaborative events that provide opportunities for addressing new and innovative ideas of our times.
