NetKAL’s 2012 visit to Korea took place from October 7-13. NetKAL’s visit to Korea not only featured the annual Summit and Gala, but also educational and cultural programs, activities, and networking opportunities. 2012 NetKAL Seoul Summit (Korea Globalized: Influence Beyond the Peninsula)

The Seoul Summit, in conjunction with NetKAL’s bi-annual Korea Visit, was served as a powerful opportunity for cross-cultural dialogue and networking between key Korean American and Korean influences that strengthens the tie between 2nd generation Korean American leaders and the country of their origin. It was the premiere staging ground for a transnational exchange of ideas in the hopes that it would strengthen cross-cultural relationships and collaboration.
The NetKAL Summit in Seoul paid homage to the quick ascent of Korean influence beyond its peninsula and also strengthened the relationships between Korean and Korean American leaders. Topics that were covered include panels/speakers on Korean business innovations, the current Korean political climate, human rights issues, the role of females in leadership and a look at how and why Korean entertainment has transcended the typically niche appeal of non-western content.
2012 NetKAL Gala

Location: The Raum (680 -1, Yeonksam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, Korea)
Over 500 guests gathered at the Raum in Seoul Korea for a formal night of celebrations for the Korean, and Korean-American. Kenny G., a world renowned saxophonist performed special songs during the Gala along with three other popular Korean musicians – Yang Pa, Aziatix, and Vixx.
